Bulb planting at Glebelands

Volunteers plant 900 bulbs in Westfield!

On Tuesday 24th October, volunteers met at Glebelands, Westfield, to plant 900 spring bulbs.  The joint project, organised by B&NES and Westfield Parish Council has been in the pipeline since the end of 2022 following suggestions from a local resident and has now been completed.

Camassias and a variety of different daffodil bulbs were planted and will produce colour throughout the Spring months.

Chair of Westfield Parish Council Phil Wilkinson said, “it was great to see a group of local people come together for the bulb planting which will brighten the streets of Westfield.  A big thank you from us at the Parish Council for contributing your time”.

Paul Pearce, Team Leader Parks Projects at B&NES said, “it was really nice to work in partnership with the Parish Council and local residents.  Thanks to everyone for giving their time”.
