Job Seekers fair

Job hunters looking for a new role or a change in career can find out about the range of opportunities available in the health and social care sector at a recruitment fair to be held at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Friday 21 January.

Attendees will be able to meet local employers face-to-face and talk to them about available roles, training courses and apprenticeships.

The fair is in support of Bath and North East Somerset’s Proud to Care campaign which has been celebrating those currently working in a caring role and helping employers to recruit new staff.

Councillor Alison Born, cabinet member for Adults and Council House Building said: “Working in health and social care can be extremely rewarding, giving an opportunity to make a significant difference to people’s lives.  Anyone who is looking for a rewarding career is welcome to come along to the job fair and talk to employers about the roles they have. There are vacancies across our region, offering flexible working patterns and career progression.”

The fair will be attended by a dozen local employers and they all have vacancies they are looking to fill immediately. There are roles available for people either with or without experience, many offering flexible hours and working patterns to fit around other commitments.

Staff from Bath College will also be attending to discuss their relevant courses.

The jobs fair takes place at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Friday 21 January 2022 between 10am and 2pm. The fair is open to everyone, there is no need to book and people can just come along on the day.

There are a huge variety of jobs in the health and social care sector including caring, hospitality, maintenance, housekeeping, catering, as well as administrative and leadership roles.

The fair takes place at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on Friday 21 January, 10am – 2pm.  Everyone is welcome. A full list of local employers attending can be found on the website: https://jobsandcareers.bathnes.gov.uk/health-and-social-care-recruitment-fair
