National Highways & Transport Survey – have your say

Residents are being asked for their views on Bath and North East Somerset’s highways and transport services – from the condition of roads and footpaths to the quality of cycling facilities.

Bath & North East Somerset Council is one of 111 local authorities to sign up to the National Highways and Transport Public Satisfaction survey – a standardised survey asking residents exactly the same questions, whether they live in Barnsley, Brighton or Bath.

It’s the tenth year the survey has been run and provides local authorities with a snapshot of what people think about these important services, together with an opportunity to compare results, share in best practice and identify further opportunities to work together in the future.

The questionnaire will be sent to a minimum random sample of at least 3300 residents from across Bath and North East Somerset from 7 June, followed by a reminder, with local and national results published in late-October 2019.

Councillor Neil Butters, joint cabinet member for Transport Services, said: “We made it clear in our manifesto that we want to hear what people think about the services we provide and how we can do things better. The results of this survey will help us assess how we are performing and help us to prioritise improvements. I’d urge all residents who receive a survey to please fill it in.  Your views count and we will be listening closely to what you have to say.”

Residents who receive the questionnaire can complete the survey on line if they prefer, a short URL link will be printed on the front of the questionnaire and they will be required to enter a code before completing the survey.
