Our Front garden competition has, once again, delighted us with the lovely gardens we looked at.
The judging was done recently by Mr Rupert Horsey of Bath College, Somer Valley campus and what a strong competition it was.
The winners of the best Front Garden was Mr and Mrs Preston of Glebelands. Mr Preston was presented with his cup and prize of a voucher from Thomsons Hardware of Radstock by Chairman Cllr Geoff Fuller today. Mr Horsey said “A fantastic range of plants including fruit trees, shrubs, herbaceous and annuals. The gravel, rocks and paving are very well thought out. I liked the bird table”.

The winners of the best container were Jo O’Donaghue and John Reynolds of Elm Terrace. The judge said that their baskets were “brilliant”. He said they are “well designed with great colours and structure, working well with the rest of the garden. The maintenance and growth is fantastic”

Well done to the winners and thank you to all entrants. The standard was very high. We look forward to your entries next year – watch this space!
