Westfield Parish Council was delighted to host its annual Grant Scheme and It’s Your Neighbourhood Presentation Evening on Thursday, 4th December, held at the welcoming West Hill Sports and Community Centre, who also provided a delicious buffet enjoyed by all.

Guests were treated to a superb photographic display, courtesy of the Norton Radstock Photographic Society, whose members curated an impressive exhibition of their work for attendees to admire throughout the event.

This year’s It’s Your Neighbourhood participants demonstrated exceptional dedication and creativity with their gardening, with the following awardees recognised on the evening:

Waterside Valley – Level 4: Thriving

Larch Court Allotments – Level 5: Outstanding

Westfield Allotment and Gardening Society (WAGS) – Level 5: Outstanding

Although not in attendance, the following groups also achieved top recognition:

Fosse Way School – Level 5: Outstanding

Westfield Primary School – Level 5: Outstanding

Attention then turned to the many valued organisations receiving support for their tireless work through the Westfield Parish Council Grant Scheme.  The council was pleased to be joined by representatives from numerous community groups, each of whom shared insights into their work and the positive impact the grant funding will have on their projects.

The evening concluded on a high note with a beautiful performance by Westfield Voices.  Their music provided the perfect finale to a heartwarming celebration of local achievement and community spirit and put everyone into the festive spirit

The evening was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, showcasing the passion, creativity and teamwork that makes Westfield such an amazing place to live and work!
